Cemetery: St. Mary's
Description: The first cemetery of Marshall Mo., was located west of Marshall on what was known as the Old Blue Book Highway, now Highway 20. Highway 65 was cut through this cemetery and the stones were piled in corners and most of them have since disappeared and what was the old Marshall Cemetery is now being farmed. Virginia Montague Ruff copied the following records from the courthouse of people who were living in this area and may possibly have been buried in this cemetery.

Cemetery: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
Description: Location: T-46-N; R-16-W; Section 35; SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 35. Road directions: From Pisgah, Mo., follow Route O, south about six miles to intersection with Route MM. In the northwest corner of this intersection - across road from the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The Mt. Pleasant Church was built by the Baptists in an early day and was presided over by John B. Longan and Kemp Scott.

Cemetery: Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church & Cemetery
Description: Location: T-46-N; R-16-W; Section 35; about six miles south and west of Pisgah, Cooper County, Mo. "New Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church is located in Moniteau Township, and was organized in 1871 by W. W. Branin, its first pastor. In 1883, it had a membership of one hundred. The original members were: Martha J. Miller, Catherine Lawson; Nancy Halloway; Harriett J. Halloway; Joseph Pierce; Margaret A. Thompson; L. C. McDaniel; Henry Bowers; P. P. Lawson; Caroline R. Bowers; Thomas L. Pierce; and Susan J. Williams." From: "History of Cooper County, Mo." by W. F. Johnson, 1919 "The church, now standing here, was built in 1879. The building is in good repair. There is a good fence around the cemetery, adjoining the churchyard and it is kept mowed. The earliest burials, on record, were in the 1800's; one possibly in 1871." This cemetery was recorded by Mr. Eugene Cordry, Mrs. Estelle Snow, Miss Alice Mary Chambers, and Mrs. Caroline Wolfe, August 21, 1971
